I don’t know if you have this little bird there where you live. Maybe it’s interesting for you to hear some of their calls.
It is a permanent resident of our garden.
In April 2015 I recorded some calls of Great tit.
Usual call:
I think this is a worried call:
And a even more worried call
What a pretty little bird! I think our western U.S. version is the chickadee. The chickadee also remains year round, living in the forests and mountains. He has a sad-sounding lonely call.
I have read that “the chickadees are a group of North American birds in the tit family”.
It seems they are very similar.
They look very much alike. Chickadees have tan instead of yellow coloring, though. Not quite as flashy!
But they are still beautiful.
I saw some photos of them on Internet.
Well done! It was nice to hear the birds as well as to see them.
I am glad you liked them.
It is always a joy to see and hear them.
Lovely! We have Great Tits here and those calls are familiar. You are probably right about the ‘worried’ calls but I don’t know enough about it. Have you found this site? http://www.british-birdsongs.uk – might be useful.
Thank you.
I didn’t know that website but it’s very interesting.
