It was built in the forties by German troops.
About ten years ago was closed for cars.

This March, the level of the water was very high and the whole bridge collapsed. No one was hurt.
I used to go here very often and enjoy the water and especially the sunset.
Well, there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.
I am sorry for your loss. Perhaps you will find new ways to enjoy the river.
Now I have to ride my bicycle more in order to reach the other river bank. And this is a plus for my health.
Great story telling through images, and I found the images of the collapsed bridge very compelling for some reason that I can’t put my finger on.
It is always interesting to read a story written but another person but on a known theme.
It is always sad to lose a bridge.
Indeed, it is sad.
Judging from the photos there must have been some pretty high water passing through the area!
Unfortunately, I don’t know exactly, but I cam approximate (using an online map) the river was about 100 meters (about 330 feet) wide but how deep, I have no idea.
Do you know where exactly was this bridge located? Near which city?
Yes, I do.
It is located near Ploiesti City, Prahova County, Romania.
I can give you even the GPS coordinates.
But, why are you asking about its location?
